Welcome to the Broberg Research Group. Our research focuses on developing sustainable, robust, and resilient infrastructure solutions. To this end, we investigate the behavior, analysis, and design of new and existing structures subjected to natural and manmade hazards (wind, earthquake, blast and impact). 

We design structural systems, conduct large-scale testing, and develop computational modeling approaches for many innovative solutions. Our work has resulted in several updates to existing codes and standards including ASCE 7, AISC 360, and AISC 341 - changing how our community designs and constructs steel and composite structural systems.
