Broberg co-organized the Early Career Committee's workshop titled Securing Your Dream Job: Academic Hiring Workshop. She also presented a paper and attended EC committee meetings.
Dr. Broberg is an American Society of Civil Engineers ExCEEd Faculty Fellow. She received a scholarship to support her participation in the workshop held at Carnegie Mellon University.
Parker was awarded the Ernest J McCartney / B&B Welding Company, Inc. Undergradute Research Fellowship from the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). Parker will spend this school year investigating high-strength welded connections. Congratulations, Parker!

Parker Minter was awarded an Honors College research grant to continue his work on skewed welded connections. He also presented his ongoing research this spring at the Undergraduate Research Symposium.
PhD student Tariq Sweidan presented his research in a Structural Stability Research Council session at NASCC. His talk, titled Stability of high-strength SpeedCore walls: Evaluation of AISC slenderness limit is also documented in a peer-reviewed conference paper.
Honors student Jalee Spain was awarded 3rd place in the undergraduate 3 Minute Thesis competition. Jalee's research on UAV blast loading was sponsored by her grant from the Honors College. Congratulations, Jalee!
