Morgan Broberg, Ph.D.

Dr. Morgan Broberg is an Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering at the University of Arkansas. Before joining U of A, she received her B.S. from LeTourneau University (Texas) and her Ph.D. from Purdue University (Indiana).

Tariq Sweidan

Ph.D. Student (2023-Present)

Tariq is originally from Jordan. He earned his BSc in Civil Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology in 2019. He was awarded the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship for his master’s program and received his MSc in Structural Engineering from Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2022.

Josiah Entner

Ph.D. Student (2025-Present)

Josiah graduated in May 2025 with his BSc in Civil Engineering from Cedarville University, specializing in International Infrastructure. Though originally from Ohio, Josiah was born in Beijing, China, and lived there for 17 years before moving back to the States for college.

Naveen Joseph

Ph.D. Student (2025-Present)

Naveen has a masters in Structural engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology. He is originally from India.

Jalee Spain

Master's Student (2026-Present)

Jalee graduated in May 2026 with her BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas. She is originally from Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Micah Lopez

Ph.D. Student (2026-Present)

Micah is originally from Belize. He earned his B.S. in Construction Management from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2013 and his M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas in 2023. Prior to beginning his doctoral studies, Micah gained extensive experience in the construction and structural steel industry, working in project management and executive leadership. His professional experience includes structural steel fabrication and construction management of large-scale commercial and industrial projects
